It’s been a while since I blogged about my favourite Flickr photographers, Rose and Olive. They have kept at it for ore than 3 years now, a stream of gorgeous, libidinal and at times downright dirty work. My blog has been all doom and gloom for weeks. I thought it would be a good time to revisit the women from Texas.
On themselves:
We’re two people. We’re neighbors. We sometimes pretend we’re sisters or cousins, depending on how dark it is.
We theorize a lot, visit strangers often, like good words in any language. When we have the money (not so often these days, alas) we love to travel and sleep on random living room floors. We cook well in exchange for a pillow. We like to host visitors as well, but you must love walking in the park, two blocks from our house(s).
Good conversation is one of the best things in life. That and lushesness.
We’ve gotten into a little bit of trouble with flickr concerning some of our posting choices in the past. We’ve been bent over the back of the loveseat and spanked witih our bottoms around our ankles, so now we’re smoothing down our flowered dresses and pressing some more shutters.
And this time we’re saving all the writing.
We also might flop. Our photos might flop. Our writing may be non-existent. And we’re okay with all of that.
We still like dirt in strange places, don’t believe you’ve had enough until it’s all over you and enjoy secrets that you want us to keep for fun, not necessity.
Say’s Olive of Rose:
She may not ever let me buy her dinner anymore for saying this, but she is about the most feminine woman I’ve ever met. Therefore, seeing her as a boypoet, as you can imagine, makes me terribly happy.
Have a nice Sunday!

I vaguely remember a post where you announced that your family were now following your blog and that you were going to avoid these kind of posts for their sake…?
No, it was for my sake Mike
(And the parlaimentarains like Andries Nel. )
But, I thought hang on. I’m me – I’m out of the closet
No seriously I think too much of this would demean the subject of this blog. But I do see a place for covering all I find interesting.
In the end blogging must be enjoyable else you won’t keep up with it. I enjoy Rose and Olive’s work. I thin others will too.
Enjoy
