This is an exciting election.
So says Jacob Zuma on the eve of the South African election.
Watching Zuma field questions is very different from watching Mbeki do the same. To qoute Alec Russell from the Financial Times:
“When I interviewed him after his election as ANC leader, he answered 30 questions in an hour – five times the number Mbeki dispatched in an hour-and-a-half interview a year earlier.”

I must commend you Wessel. 2 years ago I visited your blog (that time still the blogspot on google) and for a week or two argued politics with you. Now two years on, I see how you have become far less of the liberal you once were, and so much more a patriotic Afrikaner. It warms my heart!
