Kameraad Mhambi bets his two front teeth that he was the first blogger on the planet to write about Gazelle (and here) (I was the second to write about Die Antwoord), but I missed the release of his neat little music video of Die verlore seun.
The New Yorker recently commented on Die Antwoord -
Get ready for a fight about the legitimacy of the group and, hopefully, for an influx of more South African pop culture.
Well here is some more. Note the video was shot on Gazelle’s parents farm:
Gazelle with the sights and sounds from home shot on location in Ohrigstad Limpopo province on xander’s family farm with all the lovely people he grew up with…
A dedication of respect to the simple people that are the most beautiful and really make the world go round.

I would be remis not to add that there’s been 12 farm attacks in the last few weeks, many in the same province that Gazelle comes from.

This was one of three highlights of the MK Awards on Sunday at Monte Casino. The sound was fucking horrible, the presenters were horrible.
The second highlight was sitting next to that hot new chick from Carte Blanche.
The third was finally getting to leave and go home and not bothering going into the backstage VIP section I had access to.
Was cool seeing Gazelle perform in a small club in Barcelona at the time when Sonar was on.
I think Colette is also stocking Gazelle’s album
Very entertaining video. Thanks. Puts a humorous spin on farm life in the Limpopo Province. A friend from Limpopo wouldn’t appreciate it much though. After 7 shooting incidents with criminals she had to leave and take up a position as farm manager elsewhere.
Adding to my last comment, she was never raped.

Ah, the double edged sword of the “politically incorrect and outrageous.”
