MIA’s video – Born Free – has been banned on Youtube because of nudity and violence.
British MIA – who now shares a producer with Die Antwoord – has come in for criticism in her support for the Tamil Tigers who are (were) fighting for a separate homeland for Tamils in Sri-Lanka. Her father is a well know Tiger.
The Sri-Lankan government has come in for criticism by human rights groups for the bombardment on Tamil positions and the subsequent round-up of Tamils at the end of the last clashes, which may have ended the war.
The USA has listed the Tigers as a terrorist movement.
Beware the video gets quite violent towards the end.

Getting a kick out of the drama yet? Tsk.
The music video gives a refreshing portrayal of white guilt.
Although M.I.A. is guilty of a bit of a double standard. Willing to guage human rights based on western standards, yet not terrorism.
Shares a producer with Die Antwoord? I think not.
hey grif, diplo is MIA se ex en producer en gaan mos Vuigeboost produce? Nie waar nie?
Cool song, hectic video. Ek wonder wat die ouens met die rooi hare gedoen het? Of is dit dalk MIA se statement or hoe die VSA “terroriste” sien?
SĂȘ dit dalk meer oor MIA as oor die ouens met die guns?
